Hands quiltingFor the 20th year, the annual Pigeon Forge event, A Mountain Quiltfest, will bring in hundreds of people to browse beautiful handcrafted quilts. Take a couples’ vacation and browse the quilts together, or gather a large group and enjoy a group vacation to the Smokies for Quiltfest this March!

The event will be held at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge from March 18-22, 2014. Registration for quilting classes is currently open to anyone who wants to learn a little more about the quilting craft. In addition to the quilting courses available, beginner and professional quilters will be competing for prizes valued up to $20,000.

The cost of the event is free to everyone, unless you’re taking part in one of the instructional courses. To enter the quilting competitions, just make sure to check out the guidelines for entries, then submit your entry form. If you’d like to have your quilt judged by an NQS-certified judge, the cost will be $10 per quilt.
