The cabin was very attractive for our family Thanksgiving holiday! We had 19 guests and had plenty of room, enjoyed our stay very much. Will plan for this kind of vacation again in the future!

Patricia is awesome. Great service up front. Cabin could use some updating (paint, tile, carpet). Lots of room and good location.

The cabin was clean, well appointed and pleasant. We would like to book it again soon. Is there a discount for booking several months in advance? What is the deposit and payment schedule for booking several months out?

Overall very good. The mattress were a little worn out but otherwise okay. We received good response to our request for pool cues with tips but we were not notified and the office was unaware the pool we were supposed to have access to was closed for renovations. It was great having enough room for our family and everyone had a great experience.

We stayed in the house for a three day weekend with 14 adults and 7 children. We fit, but it was very tight. No great room where we could all fit. the dining table seats 8 and everyone else needs to just find somewhere to eat. But overall we were pleased with the house. HVAC works pretty well on both floors. Aunt Bugs was helpful when we had an issue (dishwasher stopped working and we had way too much trash for the trash cans) Not a fancy house or updated, but it worked for us. I would ask that the foosball table and air hockey table be in working condition. There was no ball for the foosball table or air hockey puck so kids could not use them.

Plenty of room and very nice location, only issue was that the hot tub was dirty and had no chemicals, when I called they came right out and added chemicals. The house keeping needs a little attention with dusting and floor cleaning.

My 60 Birthday was amazing. However, my cabin has not been cleaned at all. Floors, food in the closet, little worm like bugs bath tubs and worst of all, all toilets were terrible.

The people at Aunt Bugs were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Their service was excellent. They helped us get a last minute cabin and gave us a late checkout when it was requested. I definitely recommend their company. However,my only criticism would be that some amenities at the cabin were dated or out of order (e.g. pool table poor condition, foosball table unusable, air hockey almost unusable, some furniture had loose legs or missing handles, speakers broken on hot tub, etc.). Also, the cabin was supposed to sleep 20 (including 2 sleeper sofas mentioned in the description), but there were no sleeper sofas and a total of only 8 beds (kings or queens).

My friends and I had a great time! The only complaint is that the air hockey table doesn't really work. They extended our check out time by an hour so thanks for that!

Overall experience was great. I liked the phone app. My only complaint is I used the app to ask a question but didn't get a response. I'm not sure if it didn't go through or was missed.

For the most part we had a great time there. There was plenty of room. My only issue was with the check-in. When making the reservation we were told that the person making the reservation did not have to be present with the method of payment, but it wasn't clear that you still had to send in copies of that person's ID and credit card even though we had been emailed several times. It was a small hiccup that was fixed, but I wish it could have been bought to our attention earlier.

Just about everything was excellent. We were expecting the couches to be sleeper sofas and they were not. That made it a little more difficult to sleep the 20 people for which we had reserved the cabin. Also, the lack of air conditioning vents in the downstairs bedrooms made sleeping a little hot at night. Everyone downstairs had to keep their doors open to have the air flow into the bedrooms. It would be safer if the inside staircase had a rail. We did have one of the adults fall and experience some problems during the stay. Most of the dressers in the bedrooms had drawers that were dysfunctional-they would not stay on the tracks and would just fall out-so they were not much use and one of the bathrooms upstairs had a very slow draining bathtub. These things did not really detract from our stay that much. We did enjoy the cabin and the location was perfect.

-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin has some incline and is windy in some places. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 3.5 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge.
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 6 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 28 towels and 28 wash clothes, 7 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.

*Rescheduled stays will have 6 months to come and must stay in the original cabin booked.
