The cabin was clean but there were some repairs that were needed. The blinds in the first bedroom need replaced, better lighting for the stairs and door outside are needed, and the rug in the great room needs to have the corners taped down. We had a great time and enjoyed the facilities and views immensely. The location was ideal to the sites in town.

This is our 2nd visit and it was just as good if not better than our first. The only complaint my wife had was about privacy. Cabin 245 Sun-Sational had a glass front door. We almost bought a large cloth cover to put on the door. But I had no way of attaching it being afraid I would mar the door in some way. Would we go back. Darn tootin we would.

when we arrived I called the office to ask the pool hours and ask if there was a code and wi-fi at the pool. The person who answered the phone told me the pool was not even open due to Covid. I said I hope that is not the case because the only reason I chose the cabin I did was because it had pool access and I verified it would be open before I booked the cabin. Instead of checking she was like "oh well its not open". Later that day I went down to the pool, which was open and did have wi-fi. I called back to inform the office so they wouldn't tell other guests inaccurate information and they were like "ok". No apology or thanks for letting us know or anything. I also called and asked how to get the tvs to work and they were like "i don't know". So we did not have tv while we were there on 2 of the 3 tvs, even though they had cable access. There was not a large pot just fyi and the beds all need replaced in that cabin. They were very broken down like they were at least 10 years old. other than that the stay was great. The office staff just seemed to have no regard for the customers and definitely were not willing to go the extra mile to help us or find out information in any way as if to say "you're on your own".

Majority of experience was very positive, quiet and enjoyable. Looking for items to improve on a few would be: express check in should get directions out before the 4 PM CHECK IN (ours arrived at 4:20) I would imagine most people like myself are very near by that 4:00 time. Also cleaning service needs to empty old coffee grounds from coffee maker Amd most of all CLEAN UNDER THE BEDS (extreme dust, chip wrappers and even someone’s old underwear). Otherwise all open areas appeared clean and well managed and would definitely stay again. Thank You

Clean cabin with a great view. The only thing that could improve is have the windows cleaned... Other notes one of the blinds on the front windows is missing the wand to tilt the blinds. Could also use new mattress, but I'm sure that is up to the cabin owner not the rental company. Over all a wonderful experience.

Overall, we really enjoyed staying in Hidden Springs Resort. The community pool and quiet hours were a big plus for our family. We also appreciated being able to bring our two dogs so they could hike on some trails with us. Our cabin was non-smoking, so it looked like previous renters smoked outside the cabin. It would have been nice to not have cigarette butts on the ground.

The cabin was great for our family and what we needed. We loved the location, the layout, and it was cleaned well. There were a few little things that could have been improved. We brought a bunch of DVDs that couldn’t be played at the cabin bc the DVD player is not a blue ray player. I guess we should have considered that, but it’s also not an expensive upgrade. There was a lamp on my side of the bed that wouldn’t turn on.. it wasn’t the bulb, but the actual lamp that was broken. Last, AC really struggled in the evening with the sun coming in through the big windows. I’m sure that isn’t an issue in the winter, but it did get pretty hot between 6-8 since it’s summer. Like I said, those are small things. Overall, great!

It was very easy to check in and checkout. They were very courteous. The cabin atmosphere, view and setting were great. A quiet neighborhood and great pool. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. My only complaint would be the ridiculous amount of dust bunnies, as my daughter called them. The cabin is in deep need of a ‘spring cleaning’. We’ve stayed in half a dozen cabins and never seen so much dust. For a family with asthma this is a huge disappointment. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautiful. The view is incredible. Staff was awesome when we checked in. We would definitely stay again. I understand we were the first to stay in #245 in a while due to work being done on the cabin. The only issue was the hot tub and jacuzzi. The hot tub was slimy and the jacuzzi jets shot out black stuff when the kids were in it so we didnt get to use that either. I think that is more likely from things having sat for a while.

The location of the cabin was perfect - close to everything, but far enough away from the traffic. The resort it’s in was nice and peaceful, with a beautiful setting. The cabin was cute, but could use some work. The master bedroom bed was noisy. It was like sleeping on a baby crib mattress, that made a plastic sound with every little movement. My son also said the double bed in the other room was super hard. The dishwasher is super loud, so we ran it while we were out for the day. I also didn’t pay attention and just assumed there was WiFi. I was wrong - no WiFi. Overall, it wasn’t a bad cabin. If the beds were replaced, we would consider staying again, but being a light sleeper, every movement my husband or I made would wake me it. For as little as we were there though, it served its purpose.

We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again! The view was absolutely awesome. We didn't use the pool table but I can see where it is hard to play in the room, a fooseball or something smaller might be better. I would have liked recliners instead of the arm chairs but it wasn't a problem for us. The cabin was clean and comfortable other than the windows could use a cleaning but still not a problem. We would have stayed another day if we had not had a singing appointment the next day. We enjoyed the peace and quiet while still being so close to town. We have already recommended the cabin to friends!

The 2 biggest issues I saw where: the floors had been swept with a broom but definitely could use a mopping. The tub and shower floor were very slippery for some reason. The front porch view was amazing! I was out there every morning and night. If it could be packed up and taken home I most certainly would! Wonderful time!

Not having WiFi was a little inconvenient. I loved the porch and hot tub lay out! We did have to battle the bees everyday I would think that they would have sprayed prior to us being there as they were a bit extreme.

From the beginning of our experience to the end, Aunt Bugs exceeded our expectations. They were very helpful in assisting with our cabin selection. Check-in was a breeze and we appreciated their care in confirming our identities before allowing us to check in. Our cabin, Sunsational View 245 was nicer than expected. We liked that linens and some starter items, like toilet paper and paper towels, were provided. When we called after the first day to extend our trip (we were enjoying it that much!) there was no issue and the staff were pleasant and accomdating. The check out process was equally easy. We can't wait to come back to the Gatlinburg area and we will definitely be using Aunt Bug's again!

The space was accurately portrayed in the pictures. I don't think that they showed how close all the cabins are to each other. We brought three small children and it was hard to tell from the pictures that there really wasn't any outdoor space around the cabin to play. However, the cabin was spacious and nicely laid out.

Almost everything was wonderful. We could not use the hot tub the last day because the maintenance man did not come back to finish. Other than that it was wonderful. Just the right size for us. It was great being able to have our family pet with us. We will definitely be staying with you again. Hopefully in the same cabin. Also thanks to your staff in the office. Overall the cabin was as advertised. But there were a few items that need attention. The frig door has two shelves broken, radio wasn't working. The mattresses left some to be desired and the dish washer was so loud you couldn't talk while you were in the room. The view was great, we enjoyed the hot tub!

Our stay was beautiful! The cabin looked just like the photos and the resort was set up very nice. Very close to all there is to offer in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. As with all the cabins I've stayed in I do find that the cleaning crews do not clean as they should. The floors were dirty, bugs were dead all in the window seals, the bedding was torn and very old and nothing had ever been dusted. Other than the cleanliness the stay was wonderful!

-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin has some inclines and is windy in some places. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 3.7 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge .
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 2 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 12 towels and 8 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
Yes, but we charge $75.00 per pet per stay and we limit it to 2 dogs under 40 lbs.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
