What people are saying about this property
Customer Service was excellent! Great company to use for your cabin rental.
Wonderful trip! Had a blast. Had a bear come right up to the porch:)
The cabin is located in the mountains. So peaceful and a great location. The cabin was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay stress free
The driveway to enter the cabin lot was steep but it added a certain charm to the quaint little area in which the cabin sat. Upon entering the cabin we noticed the high ceilings and large windows. As we toured the cabin there were bits of decorative Knick knacks that gave a homey Tennessee feel. The cabin was clean and included most of what we needed for the following 2 days. There are no “quick trips” to the store so we were glad we packed enough food for breakfast and dinners for a couple days. The cabin offered plenty of room for 6 adults. The jacuzzi on the back deck was an added bonus.
It was great. The place was clean. There was no TV or internet and check in was one hour later. Beside this, everything was great.
The customer service that y'all delivered was second to none. We didn't feel that the calls were to much but enough to make us feel that you cared how our stay was going. Anyone can provide the same product as anyone else, it is the level of customer service you give that sets you apart. I have preached this for years and you actually get it and provide it better than most. Thank you!
We had a lovely stay. The Bit of Heaven cabin was so cozy. We were surprised that we didn't have any internet/wifi but enjoyed unplugging for a week. At least the parents did 😊 The gated Brother's Cove made us feel very safe. We would stay again.
As a single dad I just wanted to get away from the everyday stressful life and I was able to do so and enjoy many new experiences with my kids
Great cabin, wife loves the claw foot tub. Previous renters did leave a mess in the fireplace and ashes in the grill.
The rental was very clean and cozy I would tell anybody about aunt bugs cabin rentals.we will be uesing them again that's for sure
Great little cabin for a small family!! Very clean and charming!!
It was a nice stay but the drive way to the cabin sucked. My car didn’t want to go on the back hill the cabin was on. You really need to tell people about that before they book.
Overall the place was wonderful. Other than no hair dryer and the refrigerator handle being broken it was perfect. Definitely secluded and a very quiet setting..
Amazing stay. Made wonderful memories with my family. Very beautiful!
Our stay was great! We loved it there and we will definitely stay in that cabin again. Only bad thing was no wifi or cell service.
If your looking for a peaceful place, this is definitely the place for you. During the day and night all you hear is the running creek beside the cabin. It was great while sitting in the hot tub at night.
The driveway to the cabin is VERY steep, thankfully we came during sunny weather and not snow.
The only downfall to our stay was there was NO cell service at all, this was with Verizon as well. No WiFi either in the cabin because of its location.
All in all if you like peace and quiet and being out of touch with the world, this is the best pick!!
It was perfect, the cabin was beautiful the views were great and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Loved the creek alongside our cabin and the hot tub was a hit! Wouldn't change a thing about it! Will be back for sure!
The cabin was great as well as the seclusion from the real world for a break!
Whenever people stay in the cabin, A Bit Of Heaven, I would HIGHLY recommend that you inform people to use a 4-Wheel drive car. If we did not have our 4-Wheel drive truck there would have been a couple times we could not have made it up that hill.
Loved the cabin it was beautiful definitely will be visiting again!
Wonderful staff, beautiful cabin. Everything we dreamed of for our VERY FIRST FAMILY VACATION. We will be back soon.
The cabin itself was delightful - a cosy and welcoming place indeed. Despite the somewhat dire warnings of supplies of toilet roll/kitchen roll/bin bags being purely at a courtesy level, we found there was more than enough for two people. We used both the shower and the old-fashioned bath -the latter was a huge hit. The only negative was the perilous nature of the road to the cabin: much steeper, tighter and narrow than we gathered from the description. Arriving at night the journey up into the hills was tricky enough but the last bit down to the cabin was frankly terrifying. We had to have one person on the road signaling the distance from the drop as there were no reflective markers and its steepness meant it was out of view of the driver completely as you enter the first part of the downward trip. The hairpin bend to get to the last part of the downward trip was so tight we had to back up halfway through on the first night and on subsequent times took it at the pace of an arthritic snail. It might be worth noting the actual slope (at the steepest part) to thoroughly warn possible renters what they are up against. It was a daily nightmare both coming and going each day. Many reflectors are needed to ease visitors in and out of the cabin area safely. But if we removed that experience from the trip, the cabin was a delight. [The answer to #3 is NO purely because of the road down to the cabin - no one we know would feel that experience was worth it.]
The cabin was perfect. Very nice and clean and loved how it was secluded
We absolutely loved everything about our stay, with the exception of the fleas. Our cabin had fleas really bad.
A wonderful cabin and a very nice person that checked us in. We will definitely use Aunt Bugs again
We will def be back to aunt bugs, we had an issue w the hot tub the first night that we were there and they were there by the next afternoon and stayed a couple hours or so until it was fixed and I liked that!! The cabin was beautiful and the view from the pool was just breathtaking!!! Thanks Aunt Bugs for the awesome time, we will see y'all again real soon
Exceeded our expectations!! From reservations to check out it was a very simple process with excellent customer service. This was our first time to rent a cabin and we will definitely be seeing Aunt Bug's again!
Very clean and well maintained cabin. Amenities were exactly as we were hoping for. Hours of the rental office was the only flaw that we found.
We loved Bit of Heaven cabin! It was just what we were expecting and needed. Would definitely stay again!
-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin is a steep and winding in areas. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is about 9 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 3 vehicles.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 8 towels and 8 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and dishwasher detergent.. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.
-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.
The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
*Rescheduled stays will have 6 months to come and must stay in the original cabin booked.
This was a fabulous place to stay. We enjoyed the hustle and bustle in pigeon Forge and returned to the cabin to disconnect completely!!
