What people are saying about this property
We were very please with our stay. Everything was great!
The cabin was clean and neat. We found everything we needed. It was a very pleasant experience.
The cabin was clean, and it was very relaxing staying here. The hot tub didn’t work when we arrived I called the office and they had it fixed that day for us to enjoy!!
Very good communication through out and an excellent experience overall.
we enjoyed our trip here and will most definitely be back again! just wish they would have left us some trash bags and cleaning supplies.
We could not have enjoyed our stay any better! The cabin was so nice and clean! The check-in, check-out process was so easy, we will definitely be staying with Aunt Bug's again in the near future. Thanks so much.
Very nice cabin. Only real issue was the outside fireplace did not work, but that problem will be taken care of.
A group of 4 stayed at Sugar Bear cabin for a mini vacay. The easy access to enter the cabin was a bonus. We experienced a few housekeeping issues that was unexpected, but I must say Eric called back to address the issues and his customer service skills made me forget about the unexpected housekeeping issues.
We had a great time at our cabin. We felt that it was clean and well decorated. Very cozy. We appreciated the variety of kitchen supplies provided and the extra games. A few small recommendations: directions to use the TV (cable box), fireplaces, and hot tub. We figured it all out.. just took us a while to hit the right buttons. The grill was pretty dirty but worked just fine once we burned all the residue off. I did have to text customer service because I didn't receive my code on check in day. I ended up having to call and spoke with a rep who immediately seemed frustrated with me. He kept telling me that he sent the email multiple times and he even sent it himself. He read my email back to me and it wasn't me. He was looking at the wrong account. When he found my account, he again said that it had already been sent out to me and even told me the exact time it was emailed out. I let him know that I had been keeping a close eye on my email and checked my spam folder. He then realized it was "stuck in the queue" and his tone changed quickly. It was pretty frustrating. He made me feel like I was dumb and that I was simply overlooking it. It wasn't a great start to our trip but thankfully the cabin made up for it.
It was great! The check in process was so easy and convenient..it was helpful doing it all online instead of driving out of our way to the office.
Clean, easy check in. Oh so pretty. Can’t wait to come back!!
Very clean, comfortable atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed and would visit again.
Our stay was great. Amazing. Especially during times like these. We booked last minute. LITERALLY at noon the day of due to a change in plans. We arrived 5 hrs later and everything was seamless from check in and the cabin was nice and clean. Even got a call to see how everything was going on our 2nd day. Would definitely recommend (already have) this company and use again.
My mom (RIP) used to call me Sugar Bear growing up and we loved Christmas . So to stay in the Sugarbear cabin with a Christmas tree let me relive many wonderful memories of my mom
My mom (RIP) used to call me sugar bear when I was younger . And she LOVED Christmas. Felt jer with me the whole time !!!
The cabin itself was very nice, however upon arrival dishwasher didn’t work, hot water was turned up so we had cold baths the first night other than these issues all was a great experience!!! Loved the view from hot tub and privacy fireplaces in the rooms was nice romantic setting
Overall good customer service, couple issues with the express check in, but it worked out fine. There was an issue with the back door near the kitchen not unlocking. The cabin was very clean and nice. Would stay again.
-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin has some inclines and is windy in some places. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 11.4 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge .
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 2 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 8 towels and 8 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.
-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.
The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
*Rescheduled stays will have 6 months to come and must stay in the original cabin booked.
Very nice cabin. Plenty of room for everyone. Cabin could use a really good cleaning and pots/pans updated. However, we managed nicely. Very relaxing and enjoyed the hot tub and pool table.
