Big Name Country Acts Coming to Pigeon Forge This Summer

If you love great music, the Great Smoky Mountains are the place to be this summer! Some of the biggest names in country will be coming to the area during vacation season. Read on to learn everything you need to know about these upcoming Pigeon Forge concerts.

Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers- May 24, 25

As part of the annual Barbeque and Bluegrass festival, Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers will take the stage at the Dollywood theme park. Vince Gill came to prominence in the 1970s as the frontman of the country rock band Pure Prairie League and has achieved considerable success as a solo artist as well, winning 18 CMA Awards and 20 Grammy Awards. In 2010, Gill officially joined The Time Jumpers, a Western swing band based in Nashville, TN.

The Oak Ridge Boys – June 14

Having recently celebrated their 41st anniversary, the Oak Ridge Boys show no sign of slowing down! This legendary gospel and country quartet recently released their first live album “Boys Night Out” and are currently on tour to promote their new record. The Oak Ridge Boys are famous for their crossover hits including “Elvira”, “American Made” and “Bobbie Sue”.

The Boys will be playing two shows at the Country Tonite Theater on June 14: an afternoon concert at 3:00 p.m. and an evening concert at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $39.95 + tax. To order tickets, call the Country Tonite box office at 1-800-792-4308.

Mark Chesnutt will bring his classic country music to Pigeon Forge for a highly anticipated July 4th show. With 14 number one hits, 23 top ten singles, and four platinum albums, Chesnutt carries on the legacy of country greats like Waylon Jennings and George Strait. Some of Chesnutt’s most recognizable songs are “Too Cold at Home”, “It Sure is Monday” and “Goin’ Through the Big D”.

Mark Chesnutt will perform at Country Tonite at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $35.00 + tax, and can be purchased by calling the box office at 1-800-792-4308.

Lonestar – July 4

Although Lonestar was formed in Nashville, all of its members hail from Texas, “The Lonestar State”. Combining their musical roots with unforgettable vocals, this infectious country band has scored ten #1 songs on the country charts and sold over ten million records. Lonestar is known for their hits “Amazed”, “No News”, and “Come Crying To Me”.

As part of Pigeon Forge’s July 4th celebration, Lonestar will headline a free concert at Patriot Park. The entertainment will start at 1:30 p.m. and the fireworks will light up the sky between 9:45 and 10:00 p.m.
