What people are saying about this property
Everything was great except the smell downstairs coming from the drain in the bathroom. It was awful at times and the kids had to take showers upstairs.
Check in and out is so easy. Loved the cabin. Could use a cleaning up in high places.
Wonderful cabin, wonderful time, great views. Central location. Paved roads, plenty of parking.
Very pleasant great view, space, and decor for great cabin experience.
Overall very good experience. The check in process was very easy. If there is one thing, it would be high reach cleaning. I have said this before when booking with Aunt Bugs, more attention needs to be paid to high reach cleaning (dusting, clearing of cobwebs, changing burned out light bulbs, etc).
The ladies that I talked to in the office were amazing!! This was my wife and My first time renting a property ever, and I’ll guarantee that next time we are in the area it will be a call to Aunt Bugs. Everything was easy and every detail explained. Thanks again!!
Amazing! Beautiful cabin and views! Easy to get to and still be able to enjoy the view!
Easy booking and check in. You may want to check into a different cleaning company.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Aunt Bugs staff was very informative and pleasant to work with. We had a great time!!
The people that I interacted with were very pleasant. The cleaning crew could use more attention to detail and the maintenance crew need to use the items that are on premise and see what needs addressing. The ease of checking in and out couldn’t have been better. Upstairs tub, microwave fan and light. The smell downstairs could be from all the water that place gets running down that mountain. Mattresses could use mattress pads. I think this is one of the best places we’ve found but attention to detail needs addressing.
Really happy and beautiful place. The cabin is beautiful and we had the best time in our lives. My family is very happy. Thanks and God Bless you
The remote sign in was great! No issues with the process or while in our cabin. The cabin was wonderful, great views at The Cut Above for sure. A visit by a bear was greatly appreciated as I had been kidding my grandson, calling him a bear hunter for the month up to our arrival. Couldn't have scripted that any better. The cabin was well equipped, pool table was a blessing, but may have caused a feud or two, all in good fun. Thanks to everyone at Aunt Bug's and the property owner for sharing this wonderful spot with us.
Great cabin!! Easily accessible and plenty of parking. The outside firepit was a definite plus. The inside was very clean, cozy, and all around comfortable. We had a fantastic time and Aunt Bug's will definitely be where we look to book our cabins going forward.
We take a family trip every year at Christmas time. We couldn't of asked for a better home to fit our large group. This home had everything we needed. Perfect location. Aunt Bugs was great to work with. The coffee pot stopped working, there was no broom to sweep up after messy kids and no propane for the grill but Aunt Bugs brought everything out to us right away. Now I will say it was a little dusty in places and some lamp shades were torn oh and the stereo didn't work, for the price you would expect everything to be perfect! But all and all I would say we would rent it again.
Staying at the cabin with me were my wife, our daughter and her husband, along with our 5 grandchildren. The cabin was exceptionally well furnished. There's a distant view of the mountains from a corner of the upper deck, nice when having morning coffee. The kitchen was well equipped (no garbage disposal which may be normal). The electronic games were a hit. Once inside the cabin it seemed huge. All in all, nice size for 4 adults and 3 kids. NOTE: Don't be surprised when asked for a $300 cash deposit at check-in. It was refunded in a couple of weeks when no damage was found. Location was very good, well up the mountain, paved roads, not too steep, considering. Have neighbors in site, yet seems private. Be aware, the upstairs loft is completely open to the main floor. Not a problem for us.
Nice location and staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint was the cleanliness of the cabin. It needed a good dusting and sweeping.
We def left the cabin cleaner than we found it. For the price I expected it to be dusted and it was in serious need w the amount of cobwebs. After the kids got out of the hot tub they smelled like stagnant water and mildew. The cabin needs a strainer in the kitchen. It was a beautiful place w lots of sheets & towels. Bugs were never an issue, great view, Pool was at really nice spot but farther than we expected expected.
The staff was helpful and polite. The cabin was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.
From the start of our vacation to the end of the vacation we had an AMAZING time. This cabin was absolutely gorgeous and it felt like home. The staff who checked us in were great. The cabin was perfect when we got there. We had a great time and we can’t to come back and do it again.
Once again Aunt Bug's did not disappoint. Our cabin was very clean and absolutely beautiful. I'll most definitely be using Aunt Bug's again.
A Cut Above was absolutely amazing. It did not disappoint, the cabin was clean and had all we needed for our stay. I'll most definitely be returning. Thanks for everything, especially a wonderful stay.
The stay was for my sons 16th birthday we had such a good time the only down fall was that if rained the hole weekend but we dont control that.
Looked at many cabins to rent for a quick weekend road trip, and was very surprised to see this one available. This has the log cabin look that you look for, and very spacious. We had 7 people and was plenty of room for us. With all the cookware needed, firepit, bbq grill, hot tub, classic arcade game with many original games, pool table with bar, I'm not sure what more you ask for. Good location, probably 20 min from the strip. We were just sorry we couldn't stay longer!
Really enjoyed this cabin! It was beautifully decorated and spacious with plenty of yard and outdoor space to enjoy. The location was perfect. 20 mins to Pigeon Forge and high up on a mountain! Well stocked with just about anything you could need! The only complaint is there isn't enough hot water to go around for baths and showers and we stayed as a family of 6. We had a few minor issues that we taken care of by property management swiftly. Overall a great place to spend your vacation!
It was perfect.. I thought I would be running late for check in.. got there right before closing and everyone was friendly and helpful..
That’s was a great vacation with friends & Family and the Cabin was clean & nice
Cabin was amazing and spotless when we arrived. Very much a home/family feel to the cabin. Like the owner will be right back. We will definitely be back.
-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin is steep and winding in areas. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 9.5 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge .
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 3 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 16 towels and 8 wash clothes, 3 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.
-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.
The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
*Rescheduled stays will have 6 months to come and must stay in the original cabin booked.
Everything was great. We enjoyed the home and it location. We will be back!
