Hear the Sounds of the Holiday Season Live

Illustration of Christmas carolersThrough the holiday season, some of my family’s most memorable moments were centered around stories and music. This season, for those visiting and looking for things to do in Gatlinburg, Winter Magic Tunes and Tales can recreate those festive holiday songs and stories we all remember.

This holiday season, the Smokies have never sounded better because Winter Magic Tunes and Tales runs until December 21. This event is completely free and completely enjoyable.

Most of the shows begin at The Village Shops in Gatlinburg. The performances run from 5 to the closing performance at 8:45 pm. Some performers can be found wandering the Parkway, while others will be on stages. You never know where you might stumble upon a performer, and that’s what makes this event so special. They’ll be in different areas so everyone in the Smokies can enjoy their show. During the performances, carolers will sing classic carols, and storytellers will weave holiday tales.

What’s especially exciting about this Gatlinburg event is that there is a wide range of performers. There are storytellers, musicians, actors and children who will perform and put on a magnificent show. Some singers will even be in 1900s Appalachian period costumes.

During Winter Magic, you’ll not only enjoy the sounds of the season but also the sights. The Parkway is lined with a spectacular LED lights show with animals, toy soldiers, black bears and more.
