What people are saying about this property
Check in and out was awesome. Cabin was clean and well stocked.
This was our first time staying with Aunt Bug’s. We’ve visited the area several times but rented through a different luxury cabin rental company. We had a far better experience with Aunt Bug’s! The cabins are all comparable, but the service from Aunt Bug’s was phenomenal! Express Check In and Check Out were so easy and convenient. We had trouble with the projector and had to call for service. James was there in a flash and had our problem resolved in a jiffy! He was very friendly and polite. Also, we have rented cabins with in-cabin pools in the past from the other company. They claimed to be heated. However, after our experience with Aunt Bug’s, we now know the others weren’t truly heated. This pool was a comfortable temperature the entire time, even though it was cold outside at night. We will definitely book through Aunt Bug’s the next time we visit the Smokies!! Keep up the good work!!
Awesome, easy check in. Great cabin. Lots of family memories.
It was a great family vacation, thank you! Everything was prefect entrance the beautiful cabins nice and clean!!
The cabin was wonderful! We had a lot of fun!
Clean, beautiful, accommodations for everyone! We enjoyed our time and definitely will stay again!
My family and I had 6 wonderful days. The cabin location was beautiful day& night. my family enjoyed time we spent talking and laugh around the fire pit each night. The cabin it self was out standing plenty of thing to do game room, pool, and theater. All around blessing needed. Thank You Aunt Bugs staff yall were fantastic.
It was excellent. Can’t wait to stay again our family had a great stay
We had an excellent time at The Splash and Play cabin. The pool and hot tub were clean and working perfectly. The cabin was very clean and free of cobwebs considering it was in the woods. The location was close to the arts and craft trail and Gatlinburg which we ventured to. We also had a very nice fire in the fire pit one beautiful evening. It was a great relaxing week for us.
We had an excellent time at Splash and Play. We are five older ladies who found it conveniently located close to the Arts and Craft Loop and Gatlinburg. The cabin was very clean and spacious. The hot tub and pool were clean and we had a wonderful fire in the fire pit. We also watched many movies in the theater room. We would highly recommend Carvers apple orchard down the road for dinner.
We greatly recommend this cabin to anyone for a wonderful getaway.
Good area, quite, need little more work on cleaning for the price , but is fine
Check in should have been smoother. I was told I had to go to office to sign paperwork, but one there, everything was already done electronically.
It was perfect, plenty of room for everyone. I had to call maintenance about no air in the one bedroom and they fixed it the next day!
Rental was easy and quick
we were very satisfied with our cabin
Loved the cabin. However one of the video games did not work, the other, only one controller worked. There was a broken recliner in the livingroom. Also the hill out back was littered with trash and beer cans. We had to wash all of the dishes before using because there was food stuck on them. We stayed for a week and paid a lot of money for it, while the cabin was beautiful, I was disappointed in the cleanliness and broken items. Even picture frame had broken glass. We did have a good time so I would still recomend, but I sure won't pay out that kind of money again.
myself and family had a great time and enjoyed the cabin we will be back again5
The house itself, location, amenities, pool, hot tub, were absolutely more than my group and I could have imagined! It truly was an all inclusive house which was awesome event though it rained most of the weekend everyone had fun because their is so much to do! However, having to drive to pigeon forge multiple times to sign in was not needed and took away a tad from the experience considering it is an extra 40-45 minutes there and back from where the house is located. All of the sign in things should be available to do either online or a representative from Aunt Bugs should be at the entrance to the cabins to help us sign in. The extra driving was an annoyance.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Splash n' Play. The home is large and has sleeping space for up to 21 (though we only had 6). There are 3 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs, plus a sleeper sofa in the loft. The dining area will seat 10-12 comfortably. The indoor pool was wonderful. We were surprised with how warm the water was. I had feared a cold pool and was gladly mistaken.
A few things were less than perfect:
The living room seating is due for an upgrade and for the size of house, there is limited seating.
The loft has games that are obviously past their prime. The pool table is warped and the arcade games don't work well.
The location is quite far from the check-in office. Be prepared to drive 30-40 minutes to reach the cabin. Also, the nearest grocery is about 10 minutes away. Not a huge problem, but be aware.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the experience very relaxing. We would definitely return.
The house was very nice, although it needs a little bit of maintenance. The kitchen could use some updating for cookware and more child friendly options. We had a very nice time and are very happy with our stay at Splash-n-play.
The house was great. Little things could be improved. Shower curtain liners ripped or missing. Not enough forks and dirty pots and pans. More seating needed in the living room in a house that sleeps 20. Little things. Overall the house was great. We should have been told about the issues with bears. Bears on the deck, the high lhittub, charging thru the yard towards the deck where people were. Couldn't do any bonfires, bears were around the bonfire, had to be careful sitting on the deck, the bears came up on the deck, all day, all night. So needless to day no outside activities with the kids.
Our family stay at Splash N' Play was a great experience.
The check in was super easy. I had called early for information on the cabin and everyone was very helpful. The cabin was very clean and the whole family enjoyed their stay. I will be renting from them in the future.
The cabin was very clean. Plenty of towels and blankets. The pool was surprisingly clean as well! We were so so thankful that we’re secure locks to all entrances of the pool to keep our Little’s safe!
The cabin was great. Enough bedrooms, space for all of our little ones to run around.
Everyone was very nice. Our cabin had a few things wrong, the hot tub was leaking, the blinds were cut up , the tub in the room by the movie room felt like the tub was going to cave in, some of the t.v.s did not work. The cabin was beautiful, and we had a great time.
Es un lugar eccelente para bacasiones la berdad lo disfrute junto a mi familia la alberca el jacussi eccelente
Awesome cabin! Great maintenance response time to minor need. We had a great family vacation.
Arcade that was included in my package didn't work, but we tried to stay outside and enjoy the weather. Overall a nice place to stay and very spacious. Thank you!
Everything was Above Expectations...The Chalet was Perfect for our family...There was no reason to leave it for entertainment because there was plenty to do right there with the Movie Room and the Heated Pool and the Arcade Games👍👍
Awesome, perfect for our group. Ceiling fan need cleaning urgently.
The cabin was beautiful and very well stocked one of the best ones l've stayed that had all the amenities we ask for
Such a wonderful cabin, the pictures didn't do justice to how awesome it was. Once we figured out the office was not on site we had no other issues. The resort is only 2 miles from some great trails for all ages! Will be back!
-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin has some inclines and is windy in some places. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 19.2 miles from the parkway of Gatlinburg .
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 5 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 26 towels and 16 wash clothes, 5 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
Yes, but we charge $75.00 per pet per stay and we limit it to 2 dogs under 40 lbs.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.
-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.
The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
*Rescheduled stays will have 6 months to come and must stay in the original cabin booked.
Staff was very nice. Everyone enjoyed our vacation. Not knowing address till day of was a first for us. But it all worked out just fine.
