Smoky Mountain Getaway is a beautiful 4 bedroom, three and a half bath cabin located in Hidden Springs Resort, which is located in a mountain resort behind Splash Country and Dollywood! All bedrooms have king beds, plus there are 2 additional queen air mattress/sleepers. The master bedroom features a large jacuzzi and this cabin boasts 2 electric fireplaces, fully equipped kitchen, big screen TV with ESPN, and game room with pool table and foosball for your entertainment! Kitchen has all new stainless appliances. The two covered decks offer hot tub, picnic table, rockers, & double swing. This comfortably furnished luxury log cabin has all the comforts of home and then some. Take your family on a Smoky Mountain Getaway they'll never forget! You must be 25 years of age and staying in the cabin to rent this cabin! Rates are based on 8 adults, each additional adult is $12.50 per night.

We loved our stay! Our cabin was very clean. The only thing that may need some attention is the fitted sheet on the king bed upstairs had 2 holes. But other than that we was completely satisfied with everything. We definitely will be staying with y’all again.

We loved that the cabin was located so close to all the activities in Pigeon Forge. The cabin was spacious and we enjoyed the pool table and game room. The hot tub was nice but the water could have been a little hotter, but was still relaxing at the end of the day. It snowed on Saturday while we were there and it looked like a winter wonderland..........The only complaint was the cabin and utensils need a good cleaning. Thank you for letting us enjoy your facilities.

First off, a big thank you to Sarah at the office for helping my wife check in without me when our arrival plans changed.
The cabin was comfortable, cozy and nicely decorated for Christmas. The living room area was great.
The kitchen was well equipped with cooking and eating equipment, all appliances worked well.
There are some maintenance issues, particularly related to the recreation room.
-The foosball table is falling apart and is unusable.
-The antenna wire for the recreation room satellite box was pulled out and had to be temporarily reinserted to use the television.
-The pool table needs leveling, balls with no spin would break 6 inches when traveling the length of the table.
Other issues included:
-The downstairs mattresses were worn out, our adult children found them very uncomfortable.
-Wifi internet is present and working, but it may not be the speed you expect. It is Direct TV/AT&T service, which is 1.5 Mb/s maximum, but after a couple hours of streaming video, it appeared to be capped at 0.22 Mb/s. There was a noticeable delay loading simple web pages.
-The hot water heater should be larger for the size of the jacuzzi, enough bath temperature water to cover the jets can only be obtained if a full size adult is laying in the tub. Sit up and the jets become uncovered and spray all over.
The location is great if you want to to Dollywood. We could hear the train whistle from park, even with the windows closed. 🙂 When you don't want to go to Dollywood, allow time to navigate the Dollywood traffic jam (there is no other route in and out).
The view out the back was spoiled by trash left by previous residents.
High winds took out our power the last night, and Aunt Bug's was as responsive they could be by helping us get it reported at 2:30 a.m.
Again, Sarah in the office is fantastic. Give that woman a raise.

Family Spring Break getaway

-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to this cabin has some inclines and is windy in some places. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 3.7 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge .
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 4 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 16 towels and 12 wash clothes, 4 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

The Vacation Guarantee is 7% of your total reservation and enables you to receive a full refund, less the cost of the guarantee, up to 30 days prior to your arrival for a 1 to 4 bedroom cabin, and up to 60 days prior to arrival for 5 bedrooms and larger. Once inside those time periods, the Vacation Guarantee would allow you to reschedule your stay. Though the Vacation Guarantee is an optional charge, Aunt Bugs has a no refund/no reschedule policy without it.
