Booking the cabin was very straightforward. The lady from the office who called to confirm my booking was very pleasant to talk to and explained all of the booking and payment policies very clearly. Communication about when to expect directions to the cabin and then receiving those instructions in a timely manner was very good. We enjoyed the cabin. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek outside. We found crawdads and fishing spiders and minnows. We enjoyed meals at the big dining table. It was just the kind of family vacation experience I was looking for. The only thing I wanted to bring to your attention is that the plumbing in the cabin needs some attention. The water pressure in the shower of the main bathroom was very poor to the point that the shower really couldn't be used. The shower in the master had much better water pressure, but the faucet was broken such that adjusting the water temperature was very difficult.

Cabin location was nice. Cabin was largely clean and as described. Team was responsive when we had issues. Would have liked better information regarding finding location. Prior to arrival, especially with very limited cell reception in area.

We enjoyed our stay in the mountains. We loved the screened in porch by the creek! We plan on returning and will definitely book with Aunt Bugs.

Easy to make reservations. Communication with Aunt Bug’s very detailed and timely. I would rate our Cabin a 3 of 5. The Cabin was tastefully decorated and our stay was pleasurable. The water had a high sulfur content and stained the tubs and toilets, thus making them appear not cleaned. The hot tub was horribly stained; so much so that we would not even get in it. The kitchen could use a few more baking dishes. The screened porch was perfect! It was so very relaxing to sit in the rockers and listen to the bubbling water in the stream. Thanks for sharing your space with us.

PROS: Great location close to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area- yet a nice retreat away from the major activities to quietness and serenity, Cabin was very clean and modern updates throughout with appliances and furniture. Wi-fi and cable television worked as advertised, beds were very comfortable, showers provided hot water and were functional, main office staff was easy to reach by phone and helpful CONS: There was a musty smell throughout the cabin-more so in the main dining area and bedrooms closest to- for those with allergies or who may be sensitive to these odors, having a de-humidfier available, or perhaps a whole-home air duct purifier system (as I have heard of in other cabins) would be beneficial. On the deck by the cabin entrance door ,some wood/deck planks were loose, and twigs were scattered all across the deck upon arrival. I also noticed the gutters were filled with twigs all along the front porch area. Front screen door does not shut properly. When we arrived, there was trash scattered around the trash receptacle and up the nearby hill. The trash receptacle had a broken latch and apparently a bear had access to this, although I do credit the office staff for sending out a staff member promptly after I conveyed this concern. The loose trash was picked up and hauled away. The staff member noted the broken latch on the receptacle, though there was not a replacement/repair to my knowledge as of when we left the cabin two days later. Overall, a nice cottage in a great location with a lot of potential, we would consider staying here again if some of the aforementioned areas of concern were addressed.

Beautiful Home, perfectly describes, easy to find, Decorated super cute, comfy beds!! Can’t wait to come back! Have already sent out your info to a couple old friends who seen my pictures.

-How is the drive to this cabin?
The drive to the cabin is mostly flat roads until you get to the resort and gate. There are a few turns and slight incline, but cabin is on flat ground. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.
-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?
This cabin is 6.8 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge..
-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?
We recommend bringing no more than 2 vehicles, of any size.
-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?
YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. In this cabin, we also provide 12 towels and 8 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and dishwasher detergent. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).
-Is this cabin dog friendly?
NO… And we charge $500 when evidence of a dog/animal is found inside the unit.
-Can I use the fireplace year round?
No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through September and we take this very seriously.
-Will I encounter wildlife?
Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If you want to go outside and there is a bear outside, make loud noises they will leave. If you pull up to your cabin and there is a bear in the yard, blow the horn. They will leave.
And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for small animals to be heard around the house or bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature. Just call us, and we will send up wildlife management people or pest control to get rid of any small animals or bugs for you.

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?
Absolutely. Every hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between stays. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.
