Amazing Pigeon Forge Water Park Officially Opens for Visitors

Girl on a water slideA popular Pigeon Forge water park is set to open its doors once again! Splash Country in Pigeon Forge is one of the most popular places for families and vacationers to visit during their summer trip to the Smokies. Since the park will be opening once again, we’ve decided to answer a few questions, so you have everything you need to know before you visit Dollywood’s Splash Country this summer.

When does it open?

Splash Country officially opens on May 17. The water park will be closed for the week of May 19-23, but will then remain open for the rest of the summer season through September 1, 2014.

What do I wear?

You’re visiting a huge Pigeon Forge water park, so you’ll definitely want to make sure to wear your swimsuit. You can’t wear a swimsuit with buckles, rivets or sharp objects at the park. Other rules include: no denim, no corduroy and no cutoffs allowed. Shirts with profanity are also not allowed.

Glasses and sunglasses are allowed, but need to be attached with a head strap when you ride any of the attractions. No footwear (other than water shoes) are permitted on any of the attractions at Splash Country in Pigeon Forge.

Are there rides for kids and adults at Splash Country?

Of course! There’s plenty of rides that will thrill every guest. For little kids, less than 48 inches tall, Little Creek Falls is a great place to spend the day! There’s a children’s pool, rain trees, slides and more. For adults, there are high thrill rides with steep drops and fast slides for racing friends. Families also enjoy spending time floating through the Downbound Float Trip lazy river.
