Coasting into Fall on the Newest Attraction in Pigeon Forge

Kids on a roller coaster in sunsetThe newest attraction in Pigeon Forge takes visitors on a one-mile thrill ride, featuring fall colors that line the mountainside. The first of it’s kind in Tennessee and the longest ride in the United States, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster will please every member of the family, from thrill seekers to those that enjoy the scenic views.

The coaster also showcases beautiful mountain views as riders progress to the top of the mountain. On the way down the mountainside, the coaster allows riders to control their speed, riding up to 25 m.p.h. The ride lasts approximately eight minutes, which is longer than any other coaster ride in the area!

If it’s rainy outside, put on a jacket or a poncho and head to the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster! The coaster is in full operation throughout the year, rain or shine, so everyone has the opportunity to ride during their vacation! Open from 10 a.m.-8p.m., the attraction in Pigeon Forge is one you won’t want to miss!

The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is located on Wears Valley Road, at traffic light #3. Sitting right off the Pigeon Forge Parkway, visitors should have no trouble finding the coaster! Adults cost $15, children ages 7-12 cost $12 and children ages 3-6 cost $5.
